Under the lute Act of Congress the conditions neeessiiry to or gunle n bank nre far less difficult than formerly, it being ns we under stand only mressnry to raise the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars ns cnpltal stock. For many years among the Improvements for Mil ford, that of a bank has lieen freqiient nientioued and now that the amount nf stock necessary Is so small campor ntively it would seem that there should bo little difficulty in perfecting an organisation, if proper parties will undertake the jirojeet. .Such an In stitution would be a great conenvience to people here," nnd would tend in no small degree to keep the money our people have in our own town. Any business established here is a benefit liecause it enables the people to some extent to lie more indepen dent by saving them the necessity of going to some other town to transact It. For all the past years Milford has been largely tributary to out side markets because of lack of proer facilities to do business here, and all the idle money has sought a foreign depository. Now that the bank here seems to be within the means of this community the eople should encour age the enterprise by biking such amount of stock as may be within their means. .It is desirable that the stock should le generally held nnd there are few who could not afford to take at least a share. This would foster the enterprise and it would bea benefit to the community In many ways. lt some one now start the project and let our people give it pro per encouragement and we will soon rank in that respect at least with oth er towns in- the country. Business begets business, and who will say that with a bank here the railroad may not be sufficiently uttracted to push its tardy length to the town. A GREAT WONGER. Tlu-re used U) be seven woiulera in the world but the number has been greaUy increased, until now it may be dillicult to exactly niecify ju.f t how many there are. We have one here however, ami that is, why the M. M. A P. J. It. H. is not built to this town. Rights of way have been mostly se cured, considerable grading done, and compared with the amount of money so fur sient the cost of com pletion to Milford would be small. The reason will soon open when there would be considerable trafllc at least more than xufticicnt to pay the cost of oiieration and a good dividend on the investment, and why should the road not lie be built? It is a wonder to us all. Lfats and cajuk Lntust fttylos at T. Armstrongs & C'o'n. Ilonnlilii nn Jjnin Imve lieen not aide, both In Kunsim nnd Nelmiskii . This Is encournuiiiR.
