Master Gardeners plan program Penn State Master Gardeners of Luzerne County will present Spring into Gardening at the Technology Center of the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus in Lehmari on Saturday, April 28. This day-long event features workshops on vegetable garden- ing, ground covers, pesticides, pruning, pollinators, gardening with children, and more. Paul Epsom, well-known for his gardening segments on PBS’s “The Victory Garden” and WNEP’s “Home and Backyard,” will be keynote speaker. He brings both teaching experience and a sense of humor to his gar- dening presentation, “How I'm Creating My ‘E’ Garden: One that is Effortless, Environmental, En- abled, Edible and Extraordinary.” Each participant will be able to choose four workshops to attend as well as the keynote address. In addition to the workshops, a plant sale and flea market will op- erate all day and Master Garden- ers will be available at the infor- mation table to answer personal gardening questions. Seating is limited and early registration is encouraged. The registration fee is $30 and must be received by April 22.
