Food pantry lists drop-off sites The Board of Directors of the Back Mountain Food Pantry reminds everyone that there are two official collection sites in the Back Mountain where donated nonperishable food can be dropped off during regular business hours: Hilbert’s The Tractor Store on Route 415 in Dallas and Cook’s Pharmacy on Route 309 in Shavertown. Monetary donations are also needed at this time of year to help provide tur- keys for the more than 185 client families on record at the pantry. For many years, she was employed at AVON of Suf- fern, N.Y., and, prior to her re- tirement, she was employed at the Golden Living Center of Tunkhannock, where she was the admissions director. LAMOREAUX - Charles W., 61, of Shavertown, died Sunday, November 27, 2011, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 3, 1950, and was a 1968 graduate of Dallas High School. He formerly resided in Florida for several years. He was em- ployed as a certified nurse’s aid for 35 years by the former Valley Crest Nursing Home. He was a member of St. Therese Church. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, the former Judy Carle; sons, Mark and Christopher; five grandchildren; sister, Carol Lamoreaux; brother, Jeff Lingle; nieces and nephews. McKEOWN - Joanie Roche, 78, Dallas, died Tuesday, No- vember 29, 2011, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born in Bronx, N.Y. and was a graduate of the James Monroe High School, New York City. After graduation, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Lead- er Nursing Center and Valley Crest Nursing Home for some years, retiring from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital 16 years ago.
