He had been re- siding in Dallas with his daugh- ter, Lorna Chin, and her hus- band, David, since last Novem- ber because of illness. He was born March 22, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, received his Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Columbia Univer- sity, NY., and taught high school science in several New Jersey school districts for over 30 years, the last being Chath- am Township. He retired 24 years ago. He was a founding member of the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship in New Jersey. Surviving, in addition to his daughter, are his wife of 60 years, the former Elizabeth Bi- gelow; one granddaughter. She received a de- gree in business from Palm Beach State College, Florida and worked for Palm Beach State College for the last nine years in the Human Resources Department. He was born in Tunkhan- nock and was a retired employ- ee of Procter & Gamble, Me- hoopany, where he worked as a technician. He was born in Pittston on September 12, 1920, was a 1938 graduate of Pittston High School, an Army veteran of World War II, a graduate of The University of Scranton and the Newark College of Engi- neering and a member of the Church of the Nativity BVM. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 35 years as a mechanical engineer for the Bendix Corporation in South Montrose.
