Summer Showcase set for Aug. 6 Fans of St. Paul's Lutheran Church’s seasonal church dinners in Dallas have a special opportu- nity to get their dinner tickets ex- tra early. Tickets to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church seasonal church dinners will be sold during the Summer Showcase and Live Auction on Saturday, Aug. 6 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church, Route 118, Dallas. The event be- gins at 9 a.m. with entertainment and ends with the auction. The event will include booths selling baked goods, books, plants and “odds and ends” items, as well as a basket silent auction. Auction bidding will begin at 1 p.m. and will feature antiques, furniture, household goods and other items. Tickets for St. Paul’s dinners will be auctioned. Two quilts created by the Back Moun- tain Quilters, one in a log cabin pattern and one in a grandmoth- er’s flower garden pattern, will al- so be put up for auction at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and will be on display throughout the day. The auction will conclude at 5 p.m. Morning entertainment will begin at 9 a.m. with music by “Step by Step.” From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., local performers are invited to compete in the “Dallas Got Tal- ent” Singing Contest which will feature local celebrity judges. Rob Rave of Rave’s Garden Cen- ter will be on hand at 2 p.m. to answer landscape and gardening questions. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., representatives from Savo Auc- tioneers and Professional Ap- praisals will offer appraisals at $5 per item. Any type of item except firearms will be appraised. } Tbs tot!
