Solicitor Jeffrey Malak said the township reserves the right to refuse any bids. The board of supervisors awarded a bid for a paving project at a special meeting Monday and authorized the township solicitor and engi- neer to review a bid received for the Hillside Bridge sewer relocation project. The board received a lone bid for $100,600 from Multis- cape Inc. of Pittston for the sewer relocation project. No bids were received for the project at a special meeting earlier this month. Township Engineer Greg Supey said the bid is twice the amount he expected for the project. Solicitor Jeffrey Malak said the township re- serves the right to refuse any bids. The Hillside Bridge replace- ment project has been a work in progress since it was ini- tially damaged in 2006. The township must relocate a sew- er line before work can com- mence. The bridge is con- trolled by the county, as is an- other bridge located on Chase Road, and work should begin on both bridges this fall or in spring of next year. The board also awarded a bid to B.J. Paving of Shaver- town in the amount of $93,730 for the pavement of Bulford, Blueberry Hill, Deer Hill and Cross Creek roads and Pinecone Lane. - Sarah Hite THIS WEEK'S MEETINGS MONDAY, AUG. 1 Dallas School Board 2000 Conyngham Ave., Dal- las Township The school board will hold a work session at 7 p.m. in the ad- ministration building next to Wyrcallis Elementary.
