But Lehman Senior Sarah Bray, Lehman's leading returning scoring threat, and quick-footed freshman Shoshana Mahoney helped create some solid offensive chances throughout. Mahoney tied the score 1-1 early in the second half. Midfielder Nik- ki Sutliff started the scoring play by sending a long pass to Mahoney who worked the right side of the penalty area and fired a grounder that banged off the base of the left post and ricocheted in. Mahoney left the game with a toe injury and Bray received a yellow card with 5:12 remaining and had to sit the final five minutes. BACK MOUNTAIN BANDITS LACROSSE Hannah Stull scores 4 to lead Bandits’ win 7-8 GRADE GIRLS Centre County Green 13 Back Mountain 12 Hannah Stull had four goals and two assists and Jordan Kelly added three goals. But the Ban- dits were unable to overcome a late run by the visitors and suc- cumbed, 13-12. Back Mountain 11 Centre County Black 8 Back Mountain led the entire way and earned an 11-8 victory on the strength of three goals by Hai- lee Dumont. Brigid Wood, Jor- dan Kelly and Alysa Adams had two goals apiece while Mallory Wilson and Hanna Stull each add- ed a tally. Makenzie Borum turned away 11 of 18 shots on goal to earn the victory. Wyoming Seminary 9 Back Mountain 8 The Bandits were able to man- age just one score in the final 15 minutes against Wyoming Semi- nary while Sem scored four to ral- ly for the 9-8 win, spoiling a tre- mendous defensive performance by Katie Stemrich, Kennedy Stai- tiff and Danielle McCole. Jordan Kelly scored four goals for Back Mountain while Brigid Wood, Hunter Pitman, Alysa Adams and Hailee Dumont each added one. 4-6 GRADE GIRLS Centre County 7 Back Mountain 5 The Back Mountain girls saw outstanding performances in goal as Lauren Golden, Heather Shively and Emily Driscoll com- bined to save 28 out of 35 shots. Claudia Leu scored two goals while Kate Roberts, Lauren Dela- mater and Katie Strohl each add- ed one tally for the Bandits. On defense, Taylor Alba caused five turnovers while Ma- Kenna Bryant, Bella Waltz, Katie Romanowski, Julia Sabol and Oli- via Zablocky each caused two. Wyoming Seminary 13 Back Mountain Red 9 The Back Mountain Bandits Red 4-6 grade girls lacrosse team lost a hard-fought contest to Wyoming Seminary, 13-9. Bandits goalie Grace Butler turned away 18 of 31 shots be- tween the pipes and Claudia Leu and Katie Strohl each forced four turnovers on defense to keep the contest close. Samantha Delamater was high scorer for Back Mountain with four goals while Kate Roberts added three and Lauren Delama- ter and Olivia Carichner had one each. Makalya Adams, Haily Yaki- mowicz, Taylor Alba, Ava Bauer, Caitlyn Pike, Cassidy DeLeur and Parker Callahan each had an assist for the Bandits. The Lake-Lehman Foundation is offering Zumba classes at 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday in the Lake-Lehman High School wrestling room and at 7 p.m. every Thursday in the Lehman-Jack- son Elementary School gymnasium. Participants are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the class to register. Cost is $3 per class.
