Pack 232 Webelos are grand champions
The Webelos II Den of Pack
232, Gate of Heaven Church, Dal-

“NEPA Boy Scout Council Two
Mountains District Winter Fun
Day “Webelos Outdoor Survival
Y Competition” held at Kirby Park
in January 2011.
The annual competition was
established by Scoutmaster Al-
lan Stroud of Troop 444, Sweet
Valley, and judged by a team of

experienced Scoutmasters.
The Webelos were given the

- gency survival site for two people
that could endure a major winter
‘storm. Within a 60-minute time
period, the boys had to work as a
- team to identify a site, construct.

Kingston Township plans spring cleanup BARCLAY

The Kingston Township Board
of Supervisors announced Spring
Cleanup 2011 will be held at the
Kingston Township Public Works
Facility, 225 E. Center St., Sha-
vertown, starting Monday, May 2
and continuing through Satur-
day, May 7.
‘Hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
or Monday, Wednesday and Fri-
day, May 2, 4 and 6. Hours will be
7 am. to 3 p.m. for Tuesday and
Thursday, May 3 and 5. Hours
will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Satur-
day, May 7.
The cleanup is open to King-
ston Township residents only
and proof of township residency
is required to obtain a permit. All
residents are required to obtain a
permit in accordance with the fol-
lowing fee schedule:
Cars/small SUVs - $5/permit
(limit 3 trips); $10 (unlimited)

Residents are encouraged to
purchase their permits between
8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday
through Friday Monday, April 4
to Friday, April 29. During clean-
up week, permits will only be
available at the drop-off site. Per-
mits will be issued to the occu-
pants of rental units, not to the
owners.
All residents must present per-
mit and proper identification to
the police officer on duty for ad-
mission to the drop-off site. Po-
lice officers will collect the three-
trip limit permits, two-trip limit
permits and one-trip limit per-
mits.
The following items will not be
accepted: household trash or gar-
bage; recyclable items such as
newspapers, plastics, bi-metallic
cans, clear and colored glass, tree
stumps, rocks; construction de-
bris; toxic substances but not lim-
ited to paints, solvents, automo-
tive fluids, fertilizers, medical
waste or any chemicals.
Other items not accepted in-
clude all electronics such as TVs,
computers, etc; tires, washers,
dryers, refrigerators, freezers,
furnaces, stoves, microwaves,
water heaters or other large ap-
pliances.
Air conditioners or dehumidi-
fiers not tagged with a certified
sticker from a professional stat-
ing that the Freon has been re-
moved will not be accepted.
