Before retiring, he was employed as a textile designer at Summit Weaving, Exeter, and later at American Silk, Plains Township. He served with the Marine Corps Reserve. He was a mem- ber of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dallas, where he served as an Elder, was an Adult Sunday School teacher and a former member of the choir. He also was a member of Ge- orge M. Dallas Lodge 531F. & AM., Valley of Bloomsburg A.AS.R and Irem Shrine Cen- ter, Dallas, where he was a member and past president of the Brass Band and the Uni- formed Units, and was an asso- ciate member of the Irem An- tique and Classic Car Club. He was instrumental in assist- ing SVAPOHN in the developing of its OSHA Alliance in 2006 and was a featured speaker at SVA- POHN chapter meetings and an- nual multi-day conferences.
