Sunday, March 6, 2011 THE DALLAS POST PAGE 5 HOCKEY DISPLAY Robbie Lauer is displaying his collection of pins and Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins hockey memorabilia for the month of March at the Back Mountain Memorial Library. Robbie is the son of Bonnie and Robert Lauer, is in the third grade and has been collecting these items for less than a year. He received some as gifts and obtained some himself, such as some of the Penguins memorabilia he got by attending the hockey games. Robbie says he likes to collect these items because “It's fun!” er DISPLAY AT LIBRARY HONEY 3 oe IN The March exhibit at the Back Mountain Memorial Library's Art Display Wall is a collection of cross stitch pieces by Beth Ro- nthal, of Shavertown. @. mother taught her to cross stitch and her first attempt was a "Welcome" sign, which is included in her exhibit, along with a variety of both traditional cross stitch as well as punch- needle pieces. Beth has completed many pieces and especially enjoyed preparing birth samplers for each of her nieces and ne- phews when they were born. Beth is the wife of Bruce Rosenthal, mother of two children, Patrick and Betsy, and a grandmother. Although she states that each piece requires a great deal of patience, she adds that a great deal of love also goes into each sampler.
