THE DALLAS POST Sunday, February 20, 2011 EXCHANGE TEAM LEADER SHARES TRIP MEMORIES WITH ROTARY vernon Barbara Petty, leader of Rotary District 7410's Group Study Exchange (GSE) Team that recently went to Colombia, South America, shared a Power Point presentation of her one-month trip with members of the Dallas Rotary Club. Petty gave an interesting talk about the people and culture of the country while showing images of breathtaking views of its cities, towns and countryside. She praised her three-member vocational team for their professionalism and enthusiasm. The Dallas Club gave her a donation to help purchase a van in Colombia to transport children. Rotary District 7410, comprised of 10 counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania, hosted the GSE Team from Colombia while the group was visiting their country. The purpose of the exchange is to promote better understanding among cultures and to share vocational information. All boys and girls ages 7-20 are welcome to audition, and are asked to bring sheet music of a song of his/her choice to sing. There will be no fee to participate in this show.
