The children from Jessica McCafferty's class had the Sac- rament of Reconciliationon January 29 and will now prepare first their First Holy Communion on Saturday, May 7. The Forty Fort branch of the Citizens Bank is hosting an exhibit of work by Sue Hand, Dallas, titled “Along the Avenue: Our Valley Neighborhoods.” The exhibit includes easily recognized areas of Pittston, West Pittston, Forty Fort and Wyoming, including several scenes from “high places.” Two were created while standing on the roof of the old Pittston Hospital and one is from a view of the old Har- ry E. Breaker site and the Valley beyond from an air- plane. ) Sue Hand is a nationally- recognized artist who has been drawing and painting her entire lifetime. She is best known for her works of the coast of Maine and Cape May as well as Northeastern Pennsylvania. CHURCH BRIEFS Youth group plans lasagna dinner The Youth Group of the Trucksville United Methodist Church will hold a lasagna din- ner from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sat- urday, Feb. 19 at the Dickson Educational Facility, Church Road, Trucksville.
