For the past several weeks, the sirens have been tested on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Wilkes said residents should only hear the weekly test on Wednesdays now. Also, supervisors are look- ing to create a partnership with Lehman Township and Dallas Borough for emergency management services. Last month, supervisors an- nounced a desire to form an agreement to share emergency management resources to pro- vide better overall service and increase grant opportunities. Supervisors authorized township attorney Jeffery Ma- lak to send copies of a resolu- tion for mutual cooperative emergency management agreement and the intergo- vernmental agreement for emergency management to Dallas Borough and Lehman Township. Malak, who also serves as Dallas Borough’s solicitor, said Wilkes met with members of Dallas Borough Council to col- laborate on the plan. Lehman Township is very interested and waiting to see the agree- ments, he said. Wilkes said the partnership will ensure the municipalities will have the best services for residents and believes the agreement will be the second of its kind in Luzerne County.
