PAGE 8 THE DALLAS POST Sunday, October 31, 2010 SCHOOL BRIEFS Friendly's Fun Night benefits Lock-In A Friendly’s Fun Night will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Friend- ly’s restaurant in Dallas to benefit the 2011 Dallas High School Lock-In. A portion of all eat-in and take-out sales will be donated to the Lock-In. DHS Lock In fundraiser slated The Dallas High School Lock-In2011 will hold a fun- draiser on Monday, Nov, 8, at Barnes and Noble in the Are- na Hub Plaza, Wilkes-Barre. There will be free gift wrap- ping from noon to 8 p.m. Vouchers will be available from Dallas senior students and at the gift wrapping table. A percentage of the sales in the bookstore and cafe will go towards the Lock-In. Patrons without a voucher can mention the Dallas Lock- In before paying at the regis- ters that day. Online orders to benefit the Lock-In can also be made from Nov. 813 by using the book fair ID # 10335305 at the checkout. Dallas HS seniors conduct coat drive The Dallas Senior High School PTSO will conduct its Thanksgiving Coat Drive from November 8-12. All coats col- lected will be donated to the Commission on Economic Opportunity charities. Gently-worn coats can be dropped off at the Dallas High School lobby between 7:30 and 8 a.m. Coats can also be dropped off anytime at the Meadows Nursing Home. Bake sale planned The Dallas Lock-In Commit- tee will hold a food and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov. 13, during the Kunkle Community Center's Rummage Sale.
