The Back Mountain Commu- nity Partnership (BMCP), con- sisting of the townships of Dal- las, Franklin, Jackson, Kingston, and Lehman, as well as the Bor- ough of Dallas, will hold a “Fall Food Drive” for the Back Moun- tain Panty which serves the Dal- las and Lake-Lehman School Districts. The drive will start on Mon- day, Sept. 27, and end on Thurs- day, Sept. 30. “It’s away to help feed the less privileged families of the Back Mountain area during these down economic times, where many people are having a hard time making ends meet,” said Jim Reino, vice-chairman of the BMCP and chairman of the Kingston Township Board of Su- pervisors. “The BMCP was established to coordinate joint community projects within the Dallas and Lake-Lehman School District boundaries and has been suc- cessful in achieving mutual Back Mountain Community cooperation in its first year of ex- istence,” Reino added. Needed items include non- perishable, non-refrigerated, un- opened canned foods and dry food products in non-breakable containers. Area residents should bag the items and drop off their dona- tions at their hometown munici- pal building during regular busi- ness hours during the week of the drive. Monetary donations may be sent directly to the Back Moun- tain Food Pantry, 40 Knob Hill Rd., Trucksville, PA 18708.
