Karen Boback (R-Co- lumbia/Luzerne/ Wyoming), in conjunction with Miser- icordia University and the Mobile Vet Center, will host the annual salute to veterans from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat- urday, Sept. 18 in Lemmond Theater of Walsh Hall on the Misericordia University cam- pus. “Veterans have performed an invaluable service to our nation, and this event will be all about them - all about honoring their sacrifices, all about the programs and ben- efits they have earned, and all about the respect they de- serve for their bravery and selflessness,” said Boback. “I look forward to this event ev- ery year, and I encourage all local veterans to join me on Sept. 18.” The seminar and expo will feature local veteran service providers to offer informa- tion about benefits and pro- grams for veterans. Keynote speaker will be Brigadier General (PA) Mi- chael G. Gould, deputy adju- tant general, who will dis- cuss changes the federal De- partment of Veterans Affairs has made in processing ser- vice-related Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) claims.
