The camp was the senior project of Chad Carey and Rob Evans. Lake-Lehman Varsity Basketball Coach Brian Cutter served as mentor. Evans and Daniels, Inc. sponsored the event and camp t-shirts were donated by Athletic Image. The camp was designed to teach the fundamentals of the game, including passing, dribbling, shooting and rebounding. The various drills not only helped players improve their basketball skills, but also showed them how much fun they could have playing the game. Other activities included a free throw competition and three-point shootout. Camp participants enjoyed a lunch from Grotto Pizza on the last day of the camp. The camp raised a total of $600 to benefit the American Cancer Society. A formal check presentation will take place at a varsity basketball game this coming season.
