OBITUARIES BUCKLEY - Jean Ritchie, 94, of Dallas, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Hospice Care of the VNA, under the care of Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born on June 14, 1915, she re- sided her entire life in Dallas and graduated from Dallas Township High School, class of 1934. She was a member of the Dal- las United Methodist Church and a former member of the Dal- las American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. EVANS - Barbara A., of West Pittston, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her home after an illness. Born in Pittston on Jan. 17, 1941, she graduated from West- moreland High School, Trucks- ville. She was employed in the de- partment of accounts payable for the Coca-Cola Plant, Pittston Township, since 1982. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pittston where she served as church financial secretary/treasurer and was a former member of the Church Diaconate. She was a member of the Wyoming Chapter No. 1 Or- der of Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron for numerous terms. She also served as District 21A Deputy Grand Matron and was a member of the Past Matrons and Past Patrons of Wyoming Valley. She was a member of the Dial Rock Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are her daughter, Cathy Lynn Small; brother, Clay- ton E. Cancer Survivors Celebration honors the courage and strength of cancer survivors with a free afternoon of family fun.
