Born on Jan. 18, 1919 in King- ston, she attended Kingston High School and Harcum Junior Col- lege in Philadelphia. She was em- ployed as a registered nurse’s as- sistant for Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, and the former Leader Nursing Homes, King- ston. She previously resided in King- ston and was a member of St. Ig- natius Church. Surviving are her nieces, neph- ews, great-nieces and great-neph- ews; as well as cousin and care- giver, James Speicher, and his wife, Barbara, Dallas. LaBAR - Clarence E. “Caddie,” 96, of Franklin Township, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 at his home. Born in Kunkle, Dallas Town- ship, he graduated from Dallas Borough High School and East Stroudsburg University. Follow- ing graduation from college, he was a teacher in the Dallas Bor- ough School. He was the founder of Caddie LaBar’s Service Station and Sporting Goods, Dallas, now op- erated by his family. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He a life member of Daddow Issacs American Legion Post 672, Dal- las. Surviving are children Clar- ence “Caddie” Jr., Elgin, Ill; R. Timothy, Donald, Elwood, all of Dallas; Ruth Wolfe, Lake Town- ship; Linda Koeb, Stockbridge, Ga.; and Larry, Dallas; 16 grand- children and six great-grandchil- dren. Born on June 20, 1920 in King- ston, he attended Kingston schools. : Before retiring, he was the owner and operator of Mason's Villa in Dallas. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and fought at Guadalcanal. Surviving are a daughter Galil, Alexandria, Va., a niece and a ne- phew. SARLEY - William Charles, 62, of Trucksville, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a graduate of Dallas High School, class of 1964 and a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving for four years in the U.S. Air Force. He was an employee of Altec Industries (formerly Sterling Products) for more than 32 years. For the last few years, he was em- ployed by the American Red Cross Blood Services in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Re- gion. He was a life member of the Trucksville Volunteer Fire Co. for more than 40 years and amember of Trucksville United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, the former Jo-Ann Norrie; sons, William E., Martinsburg, W.Va.; Robert C., Trucksville; and Scott J., at home; two grandchil- dren; and several cousins.
