DMS runners win conference medals The Dallas Middle School girls cross country team won the Wyoming Valley Conference Championship meet on October 19. The team finished the regu- lar season undefeated with a re- cord 14-0. The team was led by overall winner Regan Rome and sec- ond-place finisher Maggie Fan- nick. Other medalists were: Alli- son Grose, fifth place; Madisen Gilhooley, eighth place; Bryan- na Dissinger, 13th place; and ; Megan Ostrum, 22nd place. The team placed second in the Lackawanna County Com- missioner’s Invitational led by Regan Rome with a first place finish, Allison Grose, 11th place; and Maggie Fannick, 25th place. The team placed second in the Endless Mountains Invita- tional with seven girls placing in the top 25. It also competed at the Cliff Robbins Invitational with place-winners Regan Rome, first; Allsion Grose, third; Maggie Fannick, ninth; Nell Adams, 10th; Bryanna Dissinger, 15th; and Amanda Martin, 20th.. At the District Championship meet held on October 30 at Scranton Municipal Golf Course, the team finished sec- ond to Wallenpaupack in a very close race with a score of 66-62. The team was led by district champion Regan Rome and medalist Maggie Fannick, ninth a DALLAS YOUTH BASKETBALL Napkora dumps in 19 points to lead DeLuca win DeLuca Law 53 Francis J. Collini 41 Aaron Napkora scored 19 points and Allen Fell added 14 as the DeLuca Law Offices Raptors edged the Bulls from Francis J. Collini, 53-41. Blake Pert] added seven points for the Raptors while Dominic DeLuca added six. J.T. Carey led the Bulls with 20 points while Da- vid Pomfret and Zach Goodwin added six points each. Greg Smith had five points for the Bulls and Shane Pitts scored four. Frontier 35 Medico Industries 32 Chris Behm scored a game- high 19 points and Billy Gately added 10 as the Magic from Fron- tier Communications topped the Medico Industries Celtics, 35-32. Jeff Strazdus, David Matcho and Steve Wempa added two points each for the Magic while Mariano Medico led the Celtics with 16 points. Jory Brezinski added six points and Jake Archer had four. Fieldhouse 57 Bishop Photo 23 John Kane scored 19 points to lead the Spurs from Fieldhouse Sporting Goods to a 57-23 win over the Bishop Photo 76ers. Kyle Razawich and Eric Pincof- ski added 13 points each for the Spurs while Michael Pierce add- ed 10.
