Born in Wilkes-Barre, he graduated from Lehman Township High School and worked at Chase Dairy for 28 years. He also worked for the Lake-Lehman School Dis- trict until his retirement. He was the oldest living member of the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Co. and was a past member of its ambulance association. He served as the township auditor and supervisor for many years. He was also a World War II U.S. Army vet- eran, serving in Italy. She was employed at the former Linear Corp., Dallas, for 13 years, the Lori-Charles Dress Factory in Luzerne for . 15 years and the Lake-Noxen Elementary School for 10 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dallas.
