Born in Nanticoke on Septem- ber 19, 1930, she was employed by Weis Markets, Dallas, as a do- nut maker for the last 10 %2 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Lake Silk- worth. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Benjamin; son, Andrew A., of Hanover Green; daughters, Carol Nestorick, of Hunlock Creek; and Cathy Goodas, of Glen Lyon; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. BROWSKI - Chet, 81, of Pikes Creek, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 at the Hospice Unit of the Depart- ment of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Breslau, Hanover Township, he served as a seaman first class in the U.S. Navy during World War I on RB Wallace, Tho- mas Wilson and three national bulk carrier ships and retired from the Army Corps of Engi- neers at the Black Rock Locks Buffalo, N.Y.,, aboard Dredge Haines. He was a member of the origi- nal committee that formed the Hanover Township Notre Dame Club in 1969. Previously, he was a sales rep- resentative for Block Pharmaceu- ticals. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served his country during World War II. He was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas; the Fa- ther O'Leary Council Knights of Columbus; former member of the Dallas Lions Club; and was active in the Misericordia Univer- sity community life. Born January 25, 1934 in Hill- dale, she was a graduate of Plains High School and formerly resid- ed in Kingston where she was a member of St. Ignatius Church. PANICZKO - Joseph S., 87, of Loyalville, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 at home. Born in Wilkes-Barre on De- cember 26, 1921, he was an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed as a tractor- trailer driver for Frank B. Sgarlat Co., Forty Fort, and Harry Hugh- ey Trucking Co., Tunkhannock, prior to retiring in 1986. Surviving are his nephews and friends. Born in Noxen on May 9, 1931, she graduated from Tunkhan- nock High School. She was em- ployed as a notary for several car auctions and was currently em- ployed by Weaver's Auto Body, Noxen. She was a member of St. Luke’s Reformation Lutheran Church, Noxen, the Pennsylvania Associ- ation of Notaries and the Nation- al Notary Association. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Charles E. Donna Cottle underwent a brain biopsy procedure July 6 at the University of Pennsylva- nia Medical Center, Philadel- phia and was diagnosed with a stage three malignant brain tumor. Following complications after the biopsy, she was a patient at the John Heinz Reha- bilitation Center in Wilkes- Barre and is now a patient at River Street Manor, Wilkes- Barre. She will soon begin radiation and chemotherapy treatment.
