Two are named Misericordia trustees
Harold E. “Hal” Flack II, of
Dallas, and Scott Lynett, of Sha-
vertown, have been named to
the Board of Trustees at Miser-
icordia University.
They will begin their three-
year terms in October.
Flack is president of Diamond
Manufacturing Co. of Wyoming
and Michigan City, Ind., a pro-
ducer of perforated metals, and
Exeter Architectural Products of
Wyoming, which manufactures
hurricane barrier screens, secu-
rity screens and security doors
for municipal, government, pub-
lic housing, commercial, institu-
tional and educational markets.
A 1977 graduate of Wyoming
Seminary, he earned a bache-
lor’s degree from New England
College in 1981. His business
and community involvement in-
cludes serving as a board mem-
ber of Diamond Consolidated
Industries, Exeter Architectural
Products, Eastern Insurance
Group, M&T Bank NEPA Ad-
visory Board, the Greater
Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Busi-
ness and Industry, North Moun-
tain Club, the Wyoming Com-
memorative Association and the
Westmoreland Club where he
serves as vice-president.
He also served as chairman of
the Wyoming Valley Chapter of
Ducks Unlimited, chairman of
the Pennsylvania State Police
Troop P Camp Cadet program,
chairman of the Alexis D’Toque-
vile Society of the United Way,

of the NEPA Council of the Boy
Scouts of America where he
served as chairman of the
“Drugs a Deadly Game” pro-
gram.
In 2001, he was named the
Outstanding Philanthropist of
the Year by the Association of
Fundraising Professionals.
Lynett is the CEO of Times-
Shamrock Communications and
publisher of The Times-Tribune
in Scranton,
He previously served as pub-
lisher of The Citizens’ Voice in
Wilkes-Barre and The Standard-

ter of Business Administration
degree from Villanova Universi-
ty. Before attending law school,
he spent a year in the Jesuit
Volunteer Corps in Buffalo,
N.Y., working with victims of
domestic abuse.

es and nephews.
SMITH - Kenneth Lee, of B
Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of
Tunkhannock and Scranton, §
died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 in
Community  Hospice-Morris
Center, Jacksonville, Fla.
Born in Tunkhannock on No-
vember 5, 1960, he was a gradu-
ate of Tunkhannock High
School and had been employed
at Keystone Junior College in
Factoryville.
Later, he was the owner and
operator of Down to Earth Land-
scaping in Scranton before relo-
cating to Jacksonville in 2004.
Surviving are his parents,

Chester, of Tunkhannock; sever-
al nieces and nephews.
