The evening camp is structur- ed to give the high school or club player, ages 14-18, a chance to improve his/her technical and tactical ability in practice and game situations. Participa- nts will have the opportunity to be trained by college coaches and play alongside athletes from the men’s and women’s division I program. The evening camp runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 22-25. Camp instructors Ryan Defi- baugh and Trevor Gorman will lead the camp and follow the soccer curriculum of Penn State head coach and renowned clin- ician, Barry Gorman. Both coaches maintain a fun and re- laxed atmosphere, while enhanc- ing the skill levels of all the play- ers. Defibaugh, Penn State’s assist- ant men’s coach, has direct re- sponsibility for the recruitment and instruction of the Penn State goalkeepers. He has coached nu- merous summer camps and, in 2006, was a clinician at the Nike Joga Bonito tournament. Gorman, a former Nittany Li- ons standout, is the assistant coach at Dartmouth College. He has coached various youth teams and soccer camps in Pennsylvania and holds several coaching diplomas from the Na- tional Soccer Coaches Associ- ation of America.
