She was a member of Saint Therese’s Church, Shavertown, where she was actively involved in the Altar & Rosary Society for 47 years, as well as the Prayer Ministry and the Bereavement Committee of the parish. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at local silk mills in the garment industry. She was active in the Dallas Se- nior Center. Dallas Days set for Sept. 18-20 The 2009 Dallas Harvest Festival Steering Committee has announced that this year’s Dallas Days Weekend of com- munity activities and events will take place Friday, Sept. 18, to Sunday, Sept. 20, culminat- ing with the Seventh Annual Dallas Harvest Festival on Main Street, Dallas, from 1to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20. The event will be held rain or shine.
