PAGE 8 Sunday, April 19, 2009 Bloomers planning 2009 tour The Back Mountain Bloomers Garden Club has announced that its 2009 “Tour of Back Mountain Gardens” will be held Saturday, June 27. There is a wide variety to the seven properties that have been chosen. The descriptions in- clude: a mature, classical Eu- ropean-style landscape with beautiful views; an historical property and gardens with re- cently uncovered and restored hardscaping; a multi-faceted gar- den, including rock ledge gar- dens, miniature garden and a hosta collection; a formal estate with gazebo, pool, fountains and four-season gardens; a beautiful small cottage garden, complete with white picket fence; a hidden gem with multi-level gardens nestled in a country setting; and a well-tended organic vegetable garden surrounded by beds of an- nuals and perennials. A full schedule of workshops and demonstrations is planned by some of the region’s most rec- ognized master gardeners, pro- fessional landscapers and arbo- rists.
