13-year-old grandson of Harveys Lake couple publishes book
Thomas Strock, of Center Val-
ley, is already a published au-
thor, having recently released
his first book nationwide, titled
“Tomato Turtle: A Trip to the
Park.” And he’s only 13 years old.
Strock is the son of Dan and
Susan Strock and the grandson
of Anna and Edward Strock, of
Queen of Peace Road, Harveys
Lake. He has a sister, Carolyn,
age 15.
Published by Tate Publishing
and Enterprises, “Tomato Tur-
tle: A Trip to the Park” delights
children from 1 to 100 as they
take part in Tomato’s adventure.
The book’s theme is there’s no
place like home, according to
Thomas, a good lesson to which
someone at any age can relate.
The story is about a young tur-
tle named Tomato who goes to
the park and participates in chil-
dren’s activities when he realizes
he’d much rather be a turtle and
do turtle activities.
In addition to promoting his
book, Strock, a seventh-grader at
Southern Lehigh Middle School,
keeps busy by raising awareness
and single-handedly collecting
more than $1,000 for autism, a
condition his 3-year-old cousin
has.
He also performs with Upper
Bucks Alliance for Creative Ex-
pression, having played the pi-
ano since age 3 as well as the
guitar.
“Tomato Turtle: A Trip to the
Park” is available at any book-
store nationwide or can be or-
dered through the publisher at
www.tatepublishing.com/book-
store..
The book is also an eLIVE ti-
tle, meaning each printed copy
contains a code redeemable for a
free audio download of the book
from the publisher’s website.
Thomas’ father is Dan Strock.
Anna and Edward Strock, of Queen of Peace Road, are so proud of
their grandson, Thomas Strock, 13, who lives in Center Valley and
has published a book entitled, “Tomato Turtle: A Trip to the Park.”
