The story is about a young tur- tle named Tomato who goes to the park and participates in chil- dren’s activities when he realizes he’d much rather be a turtle and do turtle activities. In addition to promoting his book, Strock, a seventh-grader at Southern Lehigh Middle School, keeps busy by raising awareness and single-handedly collecting more than $1,000 for autism, a condition his 3-year-old cousin has. He also performs with Upper Bucks Alliance for Creative Ex- pression, having played the pi- ano since age 3 as well as the guitar. “Tomato Turtle: A Trip to the Park” is available at any book- store nationwide or can be or- dered through the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/book- store.. The book is also an eLIVE ti- tle, meaning each printed copy contains a code redeemable for a free audio download of the book from the publisher’s website. Thomas’ father is Dan Strock.
