Church plans egg hunt on April 4 The Fellowship Evangel- ical Free Church, 45 Hilde- brandt Rd., Dallas, will host its annual Easter Egg- stravaganza from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, for children between the ages of 3 and fifth grade. Study guide scheduled A special class for Lent led by Pastor Drew Cottle, pastor of the Center More- land and Dymond Hollow United Methodist Churches, will be held at 7:30 p.m. each Monday night through Lent at the Center More- land UMC, Creamery Road, Center Moreland. There will be lunch and goodies available for purchase as well as a bake sale with homemade items. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday which is bag day. OBITUARIES CANNON - James C., 71, of Shavertown, died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at his home. Born May 17, 1937 in Larks- ville, he was a 1955 graduate of Kingston High School and was employed for many years by Acme Food Markets. Most re- cently, he worked for Penn Fern Gas in Trucksville. He was a member of St. Igna- tius Church, Kingston. Surviving are his wife, the former Lorraine Gavlick, with whom he celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary in Octo- ber 2008; his children, Debra Cramer, Ohio; Linda Sharpe, Bartonsville; James, Coopers- burg; Lori Mrochko, Sweet Val- ley; seven grandchildren. CARR - Jule Martin, 104, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Mercy Center in Dallas. Born February 23, 1905 in Pringle, she attended Pringle schools. She was an active member of Holy Savior Parish for 73 years before moving to Mercy Center. She was also a member of the Altar and Ros- ary Society, Quilting Club and East End Senior Citizens. Surviving are her daughters, Maurita Buhsmer, Berwyn; and Jule Leonard, Allentown; 16 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. CONRAD - Terry, 60, of Beaumont, died Sunday, March 15, 2009 in the Hospice Care of the VNA Inpatient Unit Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Sunbury, he was a grad- uate of Sunbury High School and aveteran of the U.S. Navy. He was employed in.the quality-control department at BC Bundt of Tay- lor. She worked as a lab technician at the Kirby Health Center, as an accounting clerk at Wyoming National Bank and as a retail merchandise specialist at Bergman's. She was a 43-year member of the Trucksville United Methodist Church, formerly serving as trustee, an usher, a Sunday school teacher and as a member of the Trucksville United Metho- dist Women’s Club. WOLENSKY - Carol L., 576, of Carverton Road, Trucksville, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital af- ter a courageous nine-year battle with cancer.
