Cancer Mini-thon The Cancer Mini-thon will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, in the old gymnasium. It will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 7 a.m. the next morning. During the two-day trip, the students hiked through the battlefield in Gettysburg, visited Harper's Ferry, West Virginia, the site of John Brown’s 1859 raid and toured the Antietam National Battlefield in Mary- land. The group was also visited by prominent Civil War re-enactor Bob Bosler, father of Miser- icordia University student Abi- gail Bosler, who portrayed Con- federate President Jefferson Davis. | Health Science Career Day set at MU Misericordia University in- vites all high school students for a Health Sciences Career Day from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, offering them a look at professions in the health sciences and getting a first-hand look at how the various disciplines interact throughout the health care field. The program also includes an hour-long lunch session where high school students will be able to talk informally with Misericordia faculty and stu- dents in the health sciences majors. The schedule is: Ross Ele- mentary at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18; Lake-Noxen Elemen- tary at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19; and Lehman-Jackson Elementary at 9 a.m. on Thurs- day, Nov. 20.
