Dr. Mussari commented, “The documentary we are taping with the students from Tunkhannock Area, as in all previous episodes, will be a program about change, freedom, sacrifice and service. Each program reminds us that we must never forget what happened just outside a tiny community in the western part of our state shortly after 10 a.m. on Sep- tember 11, 2001.” Kelsey Lee remarked, “It’s a very eerie feeling standing here where Mrs. McClaskey took that photo of the smoke billowing up over that hill. I can’t imagine the fear that she must've felt.” Laura Lomascola said, “The sto- ry of what happened here makes the whole thing seem like it was happening all over again in my mind,” said Laura Lomascola. “I felt like I experienced it.” Joanne Galvin, co-creator of the National 9/11 Remembrance Flag, presented the students with a Na- tional 9/11 Remembrance Flag stating, “I hope you will fly this flag high atop the flag pole at your school as a reminder to everyone in Wyoming County what happened on that date.” The students and their chap- erones Joshua Silver, Bob Zampetti timesleader.com Get news when it happens.
