This yearly event allows seventh, eighth and ninth-grade stu- dents to try lockers, locate rooms and become familiar with the layout of the school. Information pertinent to the Open House will be mailed home shortly before. Students must bring this information with them on the day they choose to visit the school. Students and parents are welcome to attend according to the following schedule: 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26; 6 to 8 rips: on Wednesday, Aug. 27; and 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28. KHS Class of 1959 plans outing Kingston High School Class of 1959 will hold its annual summer get together from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Appletree Ter- race, Newberry Estates, Dallas. DHS Class of 68 plans reunion The Dallas High School Class of 1968 will hold its 40th anniversary reunion Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5-7. A mixer will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, at Joe’s Grotto, Harveys Lake. The Dallas Senior High School Farewell Tour will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6. The reunion evening will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Huntsville Golf Club. Appetizers and drinks (cash bar) will be served on the veranda at 6 p.m. after which classmates will assemble at 7:15 p.m. on the side lawn for the 40th anniversary reunion photograph. For additional information, call Sally Walk at 283-3886. : dol auditions slated Auditions for the Third An- nual Dallas Harvest Festival Idol Contest will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, in the Dallas Middle School auditori- um, Conyngham Avenue, Dal- las. Individual performers be- tween the ages of 16 and 25 are invited to compete. A panel of judges will choose three semi-finalists who will then be contacted by phone that evening. Judging will be based on three criteria: talent, present- ation, and preparedness. Contestants must provide their own accompaniment or CD. A piano and CD technical as- sistance will be available on-site. Each performance will be com- prised of one vocal number, but contestants should be prepared with two songs. Each should be no longer than five minutes in length. The top three contes- tants will perform a second song for the judges. The three semi-finalists will then have the opportunity to per- form at this year’s Dallas Days InterMountain Medical Group of Dallas is sponsoring the Thrid Annual Dallas Harvest Festival Idol Contest.
