A shoemaker by trade, he also worked for Western Electric after the war. He was employed by Tobyhanna Army Depot for many years and the United States Postal Service in Wilkes- Barre for a few years before retiring. He was a member of the 1st Marine Division Association, AmVets and Disabled American Veterans. As a skilled wrought-iron craftsman, he owned the former Wyoming Valley Enterprises in Edwardsville and also owned and operated a large farm in Loyalville for many years. He and his family ran the former Muller’s Family Restaurant on Route 118 in Sweet Valley. He established the Sweet Valley Termites Woodcarving Club. Born August 4, 1925 in Trucksville, he worked as a truck driver for Thomas Brown of Lehman for 34 years, retiring in 1980. He last worked for Russel France in Dallas as a maintenance man. He was a member of Living Word Baptist Church of Red Rock and a former member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Dallas.
