Farmers return to market at library The Back Mountain Farm- ers’ Market begins Saturday, July 19, on the Back Moun- tain Memorial Library grounds, Huntsville Road, Dallas, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday through September 27. Local favorites returning to the Back Mountain Farm- ers’ Market this year are Golomb’s Farm and Green- house, Dymond’s Farm and Farm Markets, Brace’s Or- chard and Bakery, iGourmet- .com, Creekside Farm and Nursery and Emma’s Bakery. Market patrons will find locally-grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, homemade baked goods, gourmet in- ternational cheeses and more. New additions to the mar- ket this year are the “Soup Chic” offering homemade soups, salads and sandwich- es, and Penn State’s Master Gardener’s Program, sched- uled to share gardening and local agricultural expertise on July 26, August 16 and September 13. To help “keep it green” in the Back Mountain, 100% cotton canvas “Back Moun- tain Farmers’ Market” shop- ping bags are now available for purchase at the library reception desk for only $3 each. Bags will also be avail- able at the market. Vendors’ stalls will be set up on the pavement of the library parking lot. Patrons are asked to park on the lawn behind the library (no neighborhood street park- ing).
