) Sunday, May 11, 2008 THE DALLAS POST PAGE 5 SCHOOL BRIEFS Sem variety show benefits Ruth's Place As part of a school-wide roject, Wyoming Seminary wer School students, in conjunction with the school’s Parents Association, recently donated variety show profits and needed supplies to Ruth’s Place, Wyoming Valley’s only women’s emergency shelter. The Parents Association had sponsored “Acts of Kindness III,” a benefit variety show that showcased the talents of Lower School students who also supervised lighting, sound, stage design and the introduction of acts. In lieu of admission, attendees were asked to donate an item to Ruth’s Place. Items included coats, clothes, bed sheets, towels, and toiletries. Monetary dona- tions were also solicited to help defray the $100 per day cost of feeding the shelter’s residents. Spring concert scheduled at Sem The Wyoming Seminary/PAI Civic Symphony Orchestra, Jerome Campbell, music direc- tor and conductor, will present its spring concert at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 12, in the Great Hall of Wyoming Seminary, 228 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, just north of Kingston Cor- ners. DHS LockIn Committee to meet The Dallas High School 2008 Graduation Lock-In Com- mittee will hold its next meet- ing at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, in the high school library. DHS Grad LockIn is an alcohol-free, drug-free, fully chaperoned, all-night party for the graduating class. It will be the ninth lock-in and will be held after gradua- tion on June 13.
