He served in the Marines and Ar- my while also amassing a bache- lor’s and two master’s degrees, as well as a plethora of training in nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) warfare. Degrees in geography, admin- istrative justice and education do not ordinarily lead people to a life: as a weapons of mass destruction expert in the United States Army, however, he bespectacled Miser- icordia nursing student is more than a well-credentialed academ- ic. The former Marine Corps Cor- poral, who experienced the fal- lout of the first Gulf War, is a for- mer U.S. Army Major who spent 12%, years as an NBC officer as the commander of the Chemical Decontamination/Reconnais- sance Detachment in the 3rd Spe- cial Forces Group at Fort Bragg and a multinational force of 100 Americans and South Korean sol- diers near the demilitarized zone. Share will share his bioterro- rism training when he presents two lectures from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Monday, March 31, in the Banks Student Life Center. The lieutenant will describe the nuances and threats of bio-terror agents like anthrax and smallpox, along with other agents that nurses might encoun- ter in their health care careers. Univesity stu- dent David Share will lecture abouit his bioter- rorism training on Monday, March 13, in the Banks Student Life Center. The lectures are open free to the public. Beginning in May, the military veteran will officially join the ranks of a professional health care provider when he receives his Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Misericordia Uni- versity. His circuitous route to the MU Nursing Program began with a long flight from South Ko- rea and will lead him to the Unit- ed States Navy where he will care for men and women in uniform who are fighting the global war on terrorism. Lt. Share will receive his de- gree in nursing during the 82nd annual Commencement ceremo- ny on Saturday, May 17, in the An- derson Sports and Health Center. Shortly thereafter, he will be as- signed to one of three medical centers.
