The visit also coincided with National Salute to Hos- pitalized Veterans Week. The class designed patriotic Valentines (about 175 in all) and collected simple items like hand lotion, crossword puzzles and powder to distribute to residents of both the nursing home and the hospital. The class recited the Pledge of Alle- giance and sang several theme appropriate songs to residents of the nursing home.
