Wesley, 96, of Har- veys Lake, died Tuesday, Febru- ary 12, 2008 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Charles Austin. Born October 10, 1911 in King- ston, he graduated from King- ston High School, class of 1929. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as advertising manag- er of The Times Leader newspa- per. He was active in the Harveys Lake Protective Association and was a member and past president of the Harveys Lake Lions Club. He also served as past president of the Wilkes-Barre Advertising Club and the Wyoming Valley Horse Association, which was ac- tive in the 1940s. He was a 30-year member and served as president of SCORE, an organization of retired execu- tives who counsel small business- es, receiving the AARP Legacy Award for his many years of vol- unteering and counseling of over 400 clients. He was also a 50-year member of the Kingston Lodge 395 F&AM. Surviving are his daughter, Lynne Austin, Harveys Lake; three grandchildren; four great- grandchildren. (Searfoss), 69, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Ut- ica, New York. Born on March 22, 1938 in Har- veys Lake, she graduated valedic- torian from Lake Noxen High School in 1956 where she was a member of the high school band and basketball team. She was an active member of her church, First Assembly of God and of the Mohawk Valley Christian Women’s Organization. She volunteered in religious min- istry service at the Eden Park Nursing Home, was a member of the Town of Deerfield Senior Ci- tizens and served on the town election board during elections.
