During the early 2000s, she worked at her daughter’s store, the Country Lane, on Main Street in Laceyville. She was a member of the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Tunkhannock and, before that, was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church in Laceyville. She was a member of the Lacey- ville Business Association where she was instrumental in starting Application Day February 18, 2008 the Miss Laceyville pageant and was very active in the annual Fire- men’s Carnival, and later the Community Days, and also the annual Laceyville Sidewalk Sales.
