The party was also made possible by donations of many, such as The Sons of the American Legion, R.N. Fitch & Sons, Ken Pollock Nissan, Newell Fuel Service, New Visions Art Studio and Kern Beverage. “It was a lot of work; a lot of planning and a lot of preparation, but we have a great group of ladies in our Auxiliary and wonderful people at our post,” said Bonnie Thomas, Ladies Auxiliary President. “Plus, we received lots of help and support from our families and friends. When you see it all come together and watch not only the children having fun, but parents and grandparents as well, it makes it all worth while!" The children participated in many crafts such as designing their own pumpkin, making ghosts and creating their own treat bags. They had a couple of games to play and were treated to pizza, juice and soda. And, before it was all over, they were pleasantly surprised by a visit from our favorite clown, Pat Ward, who enter- tained the children and offered balloon animals to them.
