PAGE2 THE POST CHURCH/COMMUNITY Sunday, September 23, 2007 Noxen church planning missions trip The 2008 Summer Missions Trip sponsored by the Noxen Bible Bap- tist Church will take teens to Pasa- dena, Newfoundland in late June or early July or next year. The goal of the trip is to assist the missionary (Keith Hilton) there with children’s ministries and teen ministries in Pasadena and possi- bly in Deer Lake, approximately 30 minutes north of Pasadena. The trip is a week-long program for children and teens and costs ap- proximately $1,000 per person with a group of 10 to 12 people. Anyone wishing to make a dona- tion to this trip may do so by send- ing it to Noxen Bible Baptist Church, P.O. Box 11, Noxen, PA 18636. CHURCH BRIEFS Revival services at Noxen church Brother Lin Croxton will be at the Noxen Bible Baptist Church preach- ing revival services from Sunday, Sept. 23, to Friday, Sept. 28. Sunday service times are 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday service times are at 7 p.m. nightly. Nursery and child services are avail- able. Craft and Collectible sale Crafters are being sought for a craft and collectible show at the River of Life Fellowship Ministries Church, 22 Outlet Rd., Lehman (old Lehman Junior High School) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept 29. The Center Moreland United Methodist Church youth group, Soldiers for Christ, will have a Flea Market, Bake Sale on the church grounds from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 29. CIVIC BRIEFS Irem Ladies plan Arts, Crafts, and Collectibles Show More than 50 vendors are expected to participate in the Arts, Crafts and Collec- tibles Show, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Irem Country Club Pavilion in Dal- las. In addition to the crafts, there will be a light lunch, baked goods and super door prizes. There is ample parking and the pavilion is handicapped accessible. The event is being sponsored by the Irem Ladies with Nancy San Fanandre as chairwoman. Flu shots for seniors The Area Agency on Aging for Lu- zerne and Wyoming Counties, in con- junction with Erwine Home Health and Hospice, will offer flu vaccines in area senior centers. Pre-registration is necessary. Erwine’s will bill Medicare, First Priority Health, GHP Gold, and GHP commercial insur- ance for your flu vaccine. If insurance does not cover the cost or if individuals do not have insurance, the cost of the flu shot will be $25. Individuals age 60 and older who are interested in this program are encouraged to contact the senior center closest to them to pre- register. Mariner, MD, RVT, FACS, of Shavertown, has been named Director of Vascular and Endovascu- lar Surgery at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. An associate in vascular and general surgery at Geisinger Wyoming Valley since 1985, Dr. Mariner was instrumental in devel- oping the Non-Invasive Vascular Lab at the med- ical center, where he serves as director. He is also a registered vascular technologist.
