Bill Gately, Jon Strausser and Kris Roccograndi com- bined for 16 tackles on defense. SUCCESS B TEAM y Dallas Jr. Mounts 32 The Back Mountain Nation- Kingston Township Raiders 6 Dallas B Team extended its winning streak to three with an impressive 32-6 win over Kingston Township. oe. bey In the second quarter, Ryan Zapoticky connected with Mi- ly h, chael Boland on a 35-yard pass that put the ball on the 6-yard line. Mickey Shetlock followed with a QB'sneak to put Dallas up 6-0. Ryan Cheskiewicz intercepted a Kingston Township pass that set up a 95-yard touchdown run by Zapoticky to put Dallas up 12-0. In the second half, Dallas kept the offensive machine roll- ing as Mark Michno scored a TD on a 50-yard pass from Za- poticky. This was set up by a fumble recovery by Aaron Nap- kora. Zapoticky added more points to the board as he intercept- ed a Kingston Township pass and ran for a 58-yard TD. Mich- no had a fumble recovery in the fourth quarter that set up another TD from a great run by Aaron Napkora. John Hutch- ins added two more points with the conversion, putting Dal- las ahead, 32-0. With seconds remaining in the game, Kingston Township’s Corey Patrick scored on a 45-yard run to make the final score 32-6. Dallas now 3-0, was led by great defensive effort from Brian al League All Star team re- cently participated in two lo- cal tournaments. The team took second place in the West Pittston Little League 11 And Under tourna- ment and won the champion- ship in the Gary George South Wilkes-Barre Tournament for 10 to 1l1-year-olds. Members of the team are Ni- gel Stearns, Nick Luzetski, Justin Brojakowski, Michael Boland, Cody Paraschak, Brian Banas, Ryan Zapoticky, Connor Balloun, Jake Bromin- ski, Ben Attanasio and Bren- den Ehret. Coaches are Mike Paraschak and Chris Broja- kowski. Manager is Nick Za- poticky. Sotko, Russell Newell, Ryan Monk, Shane Pitts and John Hutchins. Corey Patrick had a 49-yard TD run for KT while Jesse Shaffer added 67 yards on the ground. JT Carey and Shawn PORTS Spencer added sacks for the Raiders. Double overtime leaves Bobcats and Eagles in scoreless tie The Back Mountain Bobcats and the Edwardsville Eagles C teams battled to a scoreless tie in double overtime on September 2. The Eagles lost the toss and the Bobcats chose to receive the ball. On kickoff, Bobcat Stone Mannello returned the ball for a gain of 13 yards. On the next pos- session, the Bobcats fumbled the ball away but Bobcats Chris Men- ning, Cameron Brennan and Bob Oakley all made great tackles to force the Eagles to turn the ball over on downs. Oakley, Mannello, Brennan teamed up with Steve Darling to give the Bobcats some additional yardage, but not enough for the the ball off to the Eagles who fumbled it away to Chris Men- ning of the Bobcats.
