Making the presentation was District 12 Vice Commander & Essay Chairman John M. Emil Sr. and District 12 Commander Chester Kunigonis. Winner was Brone Lobichusk,y of Barnesville. Lobichusky is a freshman at MMI Preparatory School and was sponsored by American Legion Post 473, Freeland. She was also first place essay winner in American Legion Central Inter-District and won second place essay winner in American Legion State Finals in Harrisburg for which she will receive a $3,000 scholarship and a plague from the American Legion, Department of Pennsylvania.
