Post 672 during the Memorial Day parade. «a. The Back Mountain Memorial Day Parade, sponsored by the Daddow-Isaacs Dallas Post 672, honored fallen soldiers. The lineup consisted of the Dallas band, Scout troops, American Legion baseball teams, Lit- tle League teams, Back Mountain Fire and Ambulance, veterans of the Back Mountain and, for the first time, antique cars. Following the parade, a memorial service was held at the monument in the center of town with State Senator Lisa Baker as the keynote speaker. After Taps was played, the procession proceeded to the Woodlawn Cere- mony for an additional ceremony where the rifle squad was used. The day’s proceedings ended with a cere- mony at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Jack Cleary, a Vietnam veteran, was the Honorary Parade Marshal and offered com- ments on the Lieutenant Michael J. Clear Fund. Vice Commander John Emil Sr. acted as pa- rade marshal.
