BANDITS Continued from Page 9 off the goalie’s stick and over the goal. Seminary finally got the win on a fast break when the shot snuck into the upper corner of the goal to make the final score 9-8. The U19-HS boys also played an exciting overtime match with Central Columbia in Dallas. The Bandits gained a quick 2-0 lead in the first pe- riod but Central Columbia bat- tled back to tie the score at 2- all before halftime. In the third period, the two teams played a great defensive battle with each team limited to only eight shots combined. In the fourth period, Back Mountain scored with 6:15 left to get the lead but Central Co- lumbia was able to tie it with 3:50 left to force the overtime. In the sudden-death over- time, both teams had chances hit the crossbar and Central Columbia won it on a hard shot that squeaked between the goalie’s legs. The U15 boys finished their regular season and played a great game against Tunkhan- nock coming up short 10-7 in an offensive show that had four lead changes. The Ull boys played SPA- North to an 8-4 loss in Allen- town. A couple of notes: The U15 and U19-HS boys will play at the Riversticks Tournament in Lewisburg on June 2. The Ul1, U13 and U15 boys teams will play at the Liberty Lacrosse Tournament in Valley Forge on June 9 and 10. For complete scores and schedule information, visit www.bmyl.org. Food Pantry lists needs While all non-perishable foods are welcome at any time by the Back Mountain Food Pantry, the greatest needs currently are for canned stews and meats, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter and jelly, canned spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, pudding mixes, Jell-0, pancake mix and syrup, cake mixes, cereal, sugar and rice. Due to the generosity of Back Mountain residents, the food pantry was able to help dozens of families during the cold and snowy months. Without the - supplies of food at the pantry, many families would have been forced to choose between food and fuel, and many of our elder- ly residents would have been forced to choose between food and their medications. Individuals or groups wishing to donate food may call the food pantry at 696-2917 for informa- tion or to arrange a mutually convenient time for volunteers on duty to receive the food. Street sweeping to begin in Dallas The Dallas Borough Road Department is holding its an- nual spring street sweeping program.
