The honor, which expanded beyond bas- ketball this year to include four additional sports for the first time, will be presented in June to the top senior student-athlete in col- legiate baseball who demonstrates the qual- ities both on and off the field of what it means to be a complete student-athlete, with specific attention paid to achievements in the classroom and community. Last month, Gryskevicz was originally se- lected as one of 30 candidates for the award on a list that included nominees from 29 dif- ferent schools and 19 different conferences. He and the nine other finalists chosen from that group will now be placed on the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award ballot for a nationwide vote. Fans will be permitted to cast one vote per day via the award’s web site, www.senior- classaward.com, through June 6. Those re- sults, combined with votes from coaches, media and sponsors, will determine the award recipient. The 2007 Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award will be presented to the winner during the NCAA College World Series in Omaha, Neb., while Lowe’s All-Senior All-America Team will be announced at that time as well. At the Bucknell Senior Athletic Awards Banquet last week, Gryskevicz was one of two recipients of the Alvin F.
