PAGE8 THE POST SPORTS Sunday, May 6, 2007 Dallas grabs travel league championship The Dallas Youth Basketball (DYB) sixth grade boys all star team concluded an outstand- ing season by winning the St. Joseph’s Oblate Travel League championship with an unde- feated season and playoff re- cord. The team also won the CYC Fall and Winter Sixth Grade Tournaments and the Dallas (DYB) Sixth Grade Tournament for the third con- secutive year. The team placed second at the Newport Sixth Grade Tournament, losing to a team from Plymouth meeting by one pointing the final. The team also placed third in the Freeland YMCA Tournament after winning the champion- ship the last two years. The team is coached by Don Mur- ray, Ben Stepniak and Nick Za- poticky. Back Mountamn Bandits Ul9 team gets first victory Several Back Mountain Bandits lacrosse teams saw action last week. In the U19 high school boys division, Back Mountain picked up its first win with a 6-4 victory over Tunkhan- nock. The U15 boys defeated Schnecksville, 7-5, while the U13 boys played to a 3-3 tie - against Schnecksville. The Ul1 boys lost, 8-2, to Schnecksville.
