A graduate of Coughlin High School, she worked in a muni- tions plant during World War II. She was the owner of the Adel B. Remakus Floral and Gift Shoppe in the Heights sec- tion of Wilkes-Barre. She was one of the first own- ers of an electric Hawaiian gui- tar and was recruited to play at the Steel Pier in Atlantic City. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Church of the Ma- ternity, Wilkes-Barre, the Christian Mothers Society and the Madame Curie Society. Surviving are her son, Dr. Bernard Remakus, Hallstead; daughters, Theresa Riley, Ha- vertown; Anna Marie Davison, Dallas; nine grandchildren; brother, Joseph Macho, Miners Mills; sisters, Veronica Cro- nauer, Wilkes-Barre; Marie Pe- tran, Allentown; Theresa Bar- nas, Allentown; niece and ne- phews.
