The park is located behind the municipal building. The board received a $60,000 grant from the Department of Com- munity and Economic Development, using the money to purchase state-of-the-art play- ground equipment, six park benches and three sets of aluminum bleachers. Everything has been assembled and the playground has been installed behind the baseball field. The board thanked state Representative Phyllis Mundy for helping to secure the grant. The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony, which will be attended by Mundy, member of the Jackson Township Board of Supervisors and the Jackson Township Recreation Park board of directors. Refreshments will be pro- vided. The park consists of a U-9 through U-16 soccer field, a regulation size baseball field, a quarter-mile paved walking track, a nature trail and the new playground.
