April 1is bag day and a snack bar will be available Friday. Men's breakfast held each Tuesday The Shavertown United Metho- dist Church recently began hold- ing a weekly ecumenical men's breakfast. The group meets at 8 a.m. each Tuesday at Pickett's Charge restaurant on Route 415 in Dallas. The Dutch treat break- fast is followed by fellowship and a short devotion period. The breakfast, fellowship and devotion period last no longer than one hour. The next breakfast is Tuesday, March 28. Men from all Back Mountain churches are en- couraged to attend. Services planned during Lent season The Center Moreland, Dymond Hollow, Lake Winola, Falls, and Evans Falls United Methodist Churches will join for mid- week services during Lent. The theme for this year's services will be “The Power of His Last Words.” An offering will be taken at each service CIVIC BRIEFS @:-cion to honor longtime members The Daddow-Isaacs Dallas American Legion Post 672 will hold a breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 8 to recognize members who have reached the milestone of 50- and 60-year membership. The following members will be honored for 60 years of service: William Guyette, Leonard Harvey, Alvah Jones and George McCutcheon. Blood drive at PSU WB The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 in the gymnasium on the campus of Penn State Wilkes-Barre in Lehman Township. Students and members of the community are invited. In order to reduce the time you must spend at the drive, the American Red Cross has rogram and encourages advance registration. To participate in the program, schedule an appointment by calling 823-7164, ext. 2150. First-time donors are wel- come. Anyone 17 years old, weighing at least 110 pounds and in good health may do- nate. Donors must bring photo identification. @® an appointment Booster club plans craft show The Dallas High School Boys Soccer Booster Club will hold its annual Spring Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 26 at the high school. Vendors from Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey will be selling a variety of items. There is no admission charge. Proceeds from the event will benefit the soccer program. Zen meditation lass March 28 n Introduction to Zen Med- itation class will be held from 7:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 28at the Mercy Center on the campus of College Miser- icordia, Dallas.
